Toddler Attraction

The addition of multi-colors seems to be aimed at attention-challenged 12-year-olds. It is impossible--it seems--to make "Everything" the default view. I need that to keep track of work flow. And Id like to unlink conversations and email chains. You guys are losing me and Im open to hearing suggestions of other apps from other users.
